THE AREA IN WHICH IT WORKS AND ITS' GEOGRAPHICAL CONDITIONS
The Tourist Association covers the area and community of Medjugorje as well as that of
Bijakovici. This stretches over a region of about nineteen square kilometres. It is situated on the Karst plain of
Brotnjo in Western Hercegovina, at about 170 - 200 metres above sea level. Administratively speaking, it
pertains to the zone of Citluk, and in fact, overlaps with it to the south west. It also overlaps with the
administrative zones of Capljina and Ljubuski.
According to the latest administrative settlements, it belongs to the state of Bosnia
Hercegovina (or Federation of Bosnia Hercegovina), and falls under the jurisdiction of the Hercegovinian-Neretva district.
